US Federal Order Banning Buxus spp., Euonymus spp., and Ilex spp. Has Been Amended

Buxus spp. can now be shipped to the US from BC as a newly designated pest free area. Thanks to the amazing work and collaboration of Jamie Aalbers at CNLA, Tracy Hueppelsheuser, our BC Ministry of Agriculture Entomologist who managed the surveillance program, all the growers who supported the box tree moth surveillance program, the Invasive Species Council as our 3rd party trapping partners, and BCLNA for advocating alongside CNLA at the CFIA and APHIS levels. This concerted effort is a shining example of how BCLNA and CNLA can work together to resolve issues that affect our growers. Work in this area will continue to enable Boxwood to be shipped from other parts of Canada.
