As the Landscape Commodity Chair and member of the board of directors for the BCLNA, my role is to represent the landscaper’s commodity group of the BCLNA and speak on their behalf. The Landscape Advisory Group is made up of volunteers who are interested in participating in the decision making process for various landscaping topics, and our quarterly meetings provide the opportunity to discuss issues pertaining to education ideas, government issues, and the needs and wants of landscaping members.
Becoming a member of the BCLNA provides you with valuable networking opportunities and education programs, while giving you access to a variety of benefits which include discounts on fuel, clothing, insurance policies, office supplies and much more! All members receive our weekly newsletter, The Friday Files, which provides members with up-to-date industry information and events, education, and other pertinent information for landscapers.
The BCLNA’s annual trade show, CanWest, provides members with the opportunity to further their education and gain access to various ISA approved seminars and clinics for CEUs. Be sure to check out CanWest Hort Expo for more information about the speakers at this year’s show!
Volunteering with the association is a great way to meet fellow landscapers and make a positive contribution the industry. Please contact myself, Hedy or Michelle for ways to contribute!
