If you are ordering Christmas Trees from Oregon and have run into issues with your supplier regarding shipping instructions from Oregon, BCLNA has been in contact with the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) and CFIA. There was an error in the ODA shipping guide which is being corrected regarding balsam wooly aphid. Though the error is being corrected, they are still requesting a phytosanitary certificate although this is not a requirement of Canada or BC (except for Curry County for p. ramorum). CFIA is following up with the USDA. In the meantime, you can import from Oregon (outside of Curry County) with a phytosanitary certificate.
