Be aware of where your delivery trucks are going. Plan your delivery route to make the restricted zone the last stop. The Japanese beetle is a notorious hichhiker. If you're making deliveries in the Regulated Zone, practice extra caution that a pest isn't climbing aboard.

Plants should be covered and/or in an enclosed truck during the June 15 – October 15 flying season. If tarping is used make sure tarp is cleaned off before leaving restricted movement zone. Drivers should check trucks for any hitchhiker beetles. If you would like a Japanese Beetle identification card please contact [email protected]

Plant Returns – VERY RISKY
Plants with soil cannot be removed from the restricted zone without a Movement Certificate from CFIA, which requires a week’s notice to get.
If it’s observed that restricted product was taken out of the regulated area without obtaining a CFIA movement certificate fines can be as high as $10,000
You may want to review your return policy. If you didn’t deliver, do you know where the plants have been? At least one retail nursery has already posted a No Return policy on their Facebook page for deliveries in and around the restricted area.

During the June 15 – October 15 fly-time pot returns should not be accepted from the restricted zone
