The European Landscape Contractors Association (ELCA) is coming to Vancouver, BC in 2023!

The Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) is eager to welcome ELCA delegates to Vancouver September 2023. This four-day event will focus on green innovations, installation, and maintenance of sustainable landscaping. ELCA members will stay at the Coast Coal Harbour Vancouver Hotel, which is nestled in the heart of the city and just steps away from Stanley Park and the Pacific Ocean.

An opening reception evening will start the event with tapas and drinks at a local brewery, which will be an opportunity to welcome everyone and ignite the days ahead.

The Canadian Landscaping industry is a leader in the “green” movement and is fully motivated by making our environment a better, healthier place to live. The delegates will visit numerous commercial and residential landscape locations which illustrate innovative energy efficiency and sustainability systems like solar heating and green roofs.

Delegates will also visit one of the first buildings in Canada to meet the Living Building Challenge, whose features include solar water heating, photovoltaic panels, a geothermal borehole, and a beautiful living roof.

There are numerous areas to learn about British Columbia’s vast varieties of native species, invasive species, and the management of landscapes in this temperate rainforest.

Registration opened in late January. The delegation fee is approximately $2,500 CDN for the four days of meals, comfortable transportation, detailed travel documents, and all entrance, and transfer fees. Hotel stay for the duration, personal transportation, and activities are extra. There is a hotel block at Coast Coal Harbour being held with discounted pricing for this group.
