What did Landscape Trades find when they took the pulse of Canada’s Landscape and Horticulture profession?

Well, it was a mixed bag, according to Landscape Trades. While demand for horticulture services remains high, labour shortages, disrupted supply chains, and rampant inflation made meeting client demands very challenging.

The biggest challenges were rising prices for materials, fuel or equipment, followed by recruitment & retention of staff. These two issues remain top concern for many contractors for 2023. On an optimistic note, the sentiment that the industry is becoming a more attractive career path is rising, with a slight majority believing that it is improving.
