CNLA has been informed that APHIS, the US equivalent of CFIA is sending out a 30 day consultation in the US on removing euonymus and ilex as host plants for BTM. If this consultation is successful, the border to eunymus and ilex may be open as early as May this year. There is no progress on opening the border to BC grown boxwood at this time. BCLNA will be trapping again this year to continue to prove that BC is pest free.
