In late summer each year, landscape installation, maintenance and design firms submit their best projects of the season. Landscape Installation, Single Family Residential - Modern Luxury
This new build on the west side of Vancouver was equally challenging and rewarding to work on.
As part of a strong, ongoing relationship with the home builder, Fossil took on all the work outside
of the buildings, including excavation, concrete forming, masonry, paving, lighting, irrigation and
soft scape installation.
The landscape was built over a period of 18 months, completing early summer 2022. The
beautiful design dealt sympathetically with the elevation change from the front to the back of the
property, incorporating large and intricate concrete retaining walls, which would be ultimately
softened by specimen trees and mature planting.
This project is a 2022 Grand Winner! A grand winner is when a project scores 100% or close.

Landscape Installation, Single Family Residential - It's Raining Zen
"It's Raining Zen": A private zen retreat in the heart of Cambie Village, creating a tranquil, peaceful space amidst the hustle & bustle of the Cambie corridor. We sought to create harmony and flow with the permanent structures and existing trees on site. Permeability and permanence were key considerations, all of the resistant materials selected were chosen for durability as well as form. Due to the high rainfall and harsh drought conditions experienced in our climate, we eliminated all traditional lawn space and opted for permeable structures and more sustainable groundcovers and planting.
